Sam's Bridals

You all may remember Sam from late last month and her wedding to J.C. at the Hurlburt Soundside Club. Her mother and I photographed her bridal session.

Can you say natural model??? I'm sure the fact that her mother Debi is a photographer has NOTHING to do with that...LOL Anyway, it was a blast working with my good friend Debi and an absolute honor to be able to participate in Sam's wedding and bridals!! I can't wait to see the images Debi has created as well!!

Desiree and Emmanuel's Beach Wedding

What a whirlwind of activity!! Desiree and Emmanuel got married yesterday at Beasley Park. The wedding was finalized and done in a one week time period before Emmanuel had to move on to another base. Since he was in school during the time of planning, Desiree did most of the planning herself checking with him via phone to finalize details. Oh, and did I mention she was also caring for four rambunctious (but really well behaved) children under the age of six? Yes, she is superwoman!!

The wedding went through a few time delays in beginning, but it all worked out as it ended with one of the most spactacular sunsets of the year. I guess a higher power wanted them to have those georgeous colors in their photos!!

Sam and J.C.'s Wedding

Yesterday was really a special wedding as my friend and former fellow Northwest Florida Daily News co-worker Debi's daughter Sam got married. Actually, the lead in to this blog should have been "how many photographer's does it take to shoot the wedding of a photographers daughter?" The answer was three....LOL One video, one photojournalist and one traditional and all friends!! Butch and Dave were really fun to work with!
It was fun, I think Debi was going nuts not getting to document Sam's wedding. I hope she was able to enjoy her role, for this wedding at least, as mother of the bride.
Sam looked radiant and her sister Sarah performed the difficult task of maid of honor.
The highlight of the evening was Debi dancing with her two daughters to a Beatles song and the love and fun of the family really came out.
Good luck Sam and J.C.!!!!!

They're all that and a bag of Zaps!!

My daughter Alexis and her friend Hailey decided to help me out last weekend and play with a great new chaise I bought at the Florida Professional Photographers Convention in Orlando a couple of weeks ago. Little Spotte and her freshly painted paw nails joined in for the fun.

It was fun to just let loose with creative crazy images!!

Snap, Crackle, Squawk?

Last week was a blast!!
Dr. Tim Bassett and his beautiful wife Michelle asked me do do some fun images for their office Cornerstone Family Chiropractic. .
Oh, and did I make note that their "child" a 20-something-year-old parrot and a starfish also needed to be in the image?
As per the man on the beach with the starfish Bible story, Dr. Bassett wanted to incorporate it into the next month's newsletter. It looked like this:

PeeWee did just what she needed to do and the Bassetts worked wonderfully as well.
They are also very good at what they do. If you are looking for a good chiropracter, just click on the link above.

Sweet Destination Alabama!!

For Libby and Greg from Indiana, the perfect destination wedding was in a sunny church along the pristine shores of Orange Beach, Al this weekend. It was a scenic and beautiful service with close family and friends sharing the special day.
We all had our fingers crossed that Gustav didn't make a special guest appearance. Thankfully as happens more often than not before a storm, it was a sunny wonderful day!

Megan and I enjoyed the elegance of the church and were excited to see the reception site at an old lake house on Perdido Bay! The evening was perfect with great music, dancing and the glow of the sunset on the bay.
Let's hope Gustav didn't harm any of these areas today.
